Backdraft Cobra and a 1960’s Ferrari on display at Galileo Open Air Cinema

The Galileo Open Air Cinema ticks all the boxes this February and caters to the motorheads in its latest movie offering.

With the Valentine’s themed ‘Rom Coms’ behind us, here’s a great movie option for the guys and all lovers of iconic FAST cars!  Ford v Ferrari is a 2019 sports drama film based on the American car designer Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles, as they battle corporate interference and the laws of physics to build a revolutionary race car for Ford in order to defeat Ferrari at the 24 Hours Le Mans race in 1966.
The Galileo plans to pull out all the stops for this screening and has teamed up with Cobra Experience and The Archive to showcase two iconic vehicles from the movie. Viewing is pre the movie screening at everyone’s favourite outdoor venue, Kirstenbosch Garden.
Movie-goers are invited to ogle the Backdraft Cobra and a 1960’s Ferrari which will proudly be on display and will definitely set the tone for all the engine revving to follow. This has to be the ideal outing for anyone who appreciates fine cars or is interested in the history of automobiles. This film is also based on the true story events that made automotive history. Be sure your phones are charged – Instagram-worthy car snaps await!
