Sometimes it is possible to have the best of both worlds. With prices of smart phones sky rocketing, there might just be a phone that comes along and saves the day. The Samsung galaxy music does just that.
The Samsung Galaxy Music is basically an android powered Smartphone that is perfect for music lovers and those interested in experiencing what android has to offer. There are many apps and games available on the Play Store and Samsung App Store to make your experience even better!
The Galaxy Music is powered by a Single core, 850 MHz, ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 512 MB RAM. Compared to higher powered Smartphones this is not the fastest processor but the Galaxy Music is also a lower priced phone. The reality is that if you want a Smartphone with a high powered processor you need to pay the hefty price tag that comes with it. The Galaxy music is intended for music lovers who want a cost effective Smartphone. That being said, I found the processor to be quick for running apps and multitasking.
The Galaxy Music runs Android OS, v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) but is upgradable to v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Android is a great operating system and there is so much you can do on it.
For snapping photos, there is a 3.15 MP camera with 2048×1536 pixels. The quality of the camera is not the greatest but once again this is a lower priced phone so you cannot expect the same camera quality as the Galaxy S4 for example. For the average user the quality of the camera should be fine.
For storage there is 4Gb internal as well as the ability to insert a MicroSD card, up to 32 GB. So there will be plenty of space for your music, photos and videos.
If you prefer to keep your music listening private there is a 3.5mm jack. So you will be able to use your standard headphones/earphones. The jack also features SRS sound enhancement. This adds bass, depth, spaciousness, and clarity to just about any piece of music or video on the Galaxy Music. To share music with your friends, the speaker is a stereo loud speaker. The quality of the music is perfect and sounds really good.
When phones require you to use your headphones as the aerial to listen to the radio, it really gets on my nerves. The Samsung Galaxy Music has a Stereo FM radio with RDS and a built-in antenna. So you can listen to the radio without having to plug in your headphones. I would like to see other Smartphones do this as well. Hint hint.
For connectivity you have GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA to ensure that on the go you can keep up to date on social media. To help keep data costs down there is also WIFI. As everyone loves WIFI.
Nearly forgot to mention the battery. Without the battery you might as well use snail mail. The Samsung Galaxy Music has a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery. You will get around 16 hours of talk time and 570 hours of standby time. The battery actually lasts much longer than higher specced phones as higher specced phones use more juice.
Basically the Samsung Galaxy Music is a great phone for music lovers as well as those that want a taste of what Samsung has to offer. The phone is a good size for slipping into your pocket or to take for a run. The Galaxy music is also well priced and is easily affordable.
