This coming Saturday, 11 June 2016, the popular Stellenbosch Slow Market will be celebrating a “Wine Wonderland” with food pairings from charcuterie to cheese to succulent roasted pork.
Eikendal Wine Estate, Bilton Wine Estate, as well as Alvi’s Drift, Saltare and Slim Lady are just some of the boutique wine brands from the region that will form part of the Wine Wonderland experience.
Bilton crafted chocolate, designed especially to partner their well-matured (2008, 2009, 2010) wines, would be well worth the stop.
The Stellenbosch Slow Market brings food straight from the producer to your table. There is cheese (Sandy de Bruin), just out of the oven-baked breads (Schoon de Companje), meats (Ollie’s Sausages), olives (Chrisna’s Olives), free-range chickens (from Colleen, the beloved chicken farmer) – all this and more is available at the Stellenbosch Slow Market.
Also check out the slow-roasted pork (Be Delicious) and do not forget to stock up on the freshest veg – straight from the farm (Green Road).
Put some hearty warmth into your winter. Come for breakfast, come for lunch but do not miss the lively, fun, buzzing Wine Wonderland market this Saturday.
PS: Whilst not forgetting Father’s Day on 19 June, the slow market is just the place to browse for that special gift for dad.
There is no entry fee for the Stellenbosch Slow Food Market – and there is ample parking.
