Opel Distributor is proud to announce their new partnership and Opel Brand Ambassador, Funky Executive Chef, Sizo Henna. We believe that Sizo is the perfect ingredient for the Opel brand, thanks to his inspiring outlook on life, and ability to bring his passion to many using his unique skills to fuse international cuisine with South African flavours.

Internationally-travelled, master-chef trained, with a South Africa base, Sizo is well known for his travel cooking show, ‘Rustic Chakula’ in which he delights viewers as the Afrocentric, charming cosmopolitan host and Chef. He explores the modern yuppie African lifestyle through prominent guests, art, music, destinations and cultures. The show gave him a platform to share wholesome, homely and simple food that’s accessible to food lovers around the world, while maintaining the balance between sophistication and rustic.

This energetic professional Chef, studied at London’s prestigious Walthamstow Forest College and has catered for a variety of guests while abroad, ranging from Whitehouse representatives, the Polish President and directors from esteemed organisations. Sizo’s understanding and appreciation of the ingredients that go into every culinary creation was gained while working on a Watercress Farm in Southampton UK, fifteen years ago. Learning about different cultures and cuisines is his passion – Swiss in Geneva, Indian in Mumbai, Fish, chips and mushy peas in London, Foie-gras in France to creamy Mngqusho back home in Biso, this is what Sizo brings to the table.

Sizo prides himself in being the Managing Director of Blaque Olive, a private chef service established in 2009 to meet the high demand for his culinary creations. In 2013, he ventured into corporate restaurant space and plays proud host and Chef at Blaque Wine Bar and Grill House in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

Sizo’s unique take on life and food reflects the individuality, innovation, quality and accessibility characteristics which Opel embraces. While his very simple business concept, ‘Do a stunning job every time!’ teams perfectly with the Opel German Brand.
