- Ultra-narrow bezel makes the screen feel larger
- Flicker-Free technology reduces eye fatigue
- SmartErgoBase enables people-friendly ergonomic adjustments
Johannesburg, 25 September 2015 – MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, launches a new 25-inch monitor with AH-IPS LED display with Quad HD resolution. This means crystal clear images on a compact screen. The monitor contains 65% recycled plastics and its housing is PVC- and BFR-free, therefore nothing more stands in the way of eco-friendly productivity.
Quad HD on a smaller screen size
This latest Philips display delivers astoundingly sharp and clear Quad HD 2560×1440 or 2560×1080 pixel images. The secret behind these outstanding results is the high-performance panel with an extremely dense pixel count thanks to high bandwidth sources such as DisplayPort, HDMI and Dual link DVI. The improved structure of the advanced AH-IPS panel is responsible for the superb color reproduction, fast response time and low power consumption compared to other wide view angle panels.
Regardless of whether the user is in need of extremely detailed information for CAD-CAM work or vivid color and clarity for 3D graphic applications, this high-quality Philips display will deliver the crystal clear images these users are looking for. Moreover, the monitor has built-in stereo speakers for multimedia and USB 3.0 for fast data transfers and smart phone charging. Altogether, these features enable the user to be more productive.
Reduced eye fatigue
Because of how brightness is controlled on LED-backlit screens, users often experience flicker on their screens which can even cause eye fatigue. Philips Flicker-Free Technology regulates brightness and reduces flicker for much more comfortable viewing, even for longer periods of time.
Ultra-narrow bezel
Thanks to its state-of-the-art panel, the outer bezel thickness of the new Philips display is only about 2.5 mm. Combined with the in-panel black matrix strip of only 3.5 mm, the overall border dimensions are significantly smaller to allow for minimal distractions and maximum viewing enjoyment. Especially designed for multi-display or tiling as in gaming, graphic design and professional applications, the ultra-narrow bezel display will definitely give the viewer the feeling of using a larger display.
Eco- and user-friendly
Next to the environment-friendly material with a high proportion of recycled plastics, the display also offers great ergonomic features. The Advanced SmartErgoBase allows the display to be lowered down almost to desk level for a more comfortable viewing angle. Low bezel-to-table height is ideal for users who wear bifocals, trifocals or progressive lens glasses while working on the computer. Furthermore, it even allows for users of different heights to use the monitor in their preferred angle and height settings. This too helps to reduce fatigue and strain.
The new Philips display will be available only upon request.
