Migrating to a Smartphone need not break the bank balance

Introducing the Samsung Z4, powered by Samsung’s Tizen operating system

Trading density data from property managers, Broll SA, has found that in the current economic environment, consumers are reportedly spending more on basic needs such as groceries and necessities and less on luxury goods and items, such as cell phones. However, the good news for cash-strapped consumers who require a new smartphone is that leading electronics brand, Samsung, is continuing its roll-out of the Samsung Z4 smartphone in South Africa for as little as R1,499 – powered by the Tizen Operating System (OS).

Tizen is made with the intention of making smartphones less complicated and more efficient. Giving an effortless mobile experience, the OS is clutter-free, and boasts an intuitive interface making it easy to understand and use. Because it is lighter than competing OS’s, it makes for a faster operating time and longer lasting battery. Tizen technology also offers 3D window effects with support for apps and games that require advanced 3D graphics.

“Our affordable Tizen series has been instrumental in catalysing the smartphone upgrade and with Samsung Z4, we will offer yet another compelling product to affordable segment consumers,” said Craige Fleischer, Director: Integrated Mobility, Samsung South Africa. “It comes equipped with ‘double’ the usual benefits in terms of camera, flash and style and sports a 5MP front flash camera for selfies in all-light conditions.”

The dual LED flash on the 5MP rear camera clicks brighter images even in low light conditions and users get editing options within the camera view finder and features like beauty mode, live filters and profile template, ensure social media-ready enhanced images.

Further, the Samsung Z4’s 4.5” screen allows consumers to enjoy games, videos and other multimedia content to the fullest while the 2.5D glass gives the front display a refreshed look and comfortable grip to maximise the style quotient. An additional black back cover is provided inbox for all users to enjoy both gold and black styles on the same device.

The user interface on Samsung’s Z4 is simple, easy to use and optimised for seamless performance. The smartphone comes with a 1.5 quad core processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory, which is further expandable up to 128 GB. It is fuelled by a 2050 mAh long-lasting battery.

“The Samsung Z4 is a great alternative for our lower-middle income consumers and a gateway to smartphone technology which relies on Samsung’s trusted expensive linked to a deep understanding of what people really want – and innovating accordingly to enrich their lives,” concludes Fleischer.
