If you would have told me that we would all be walking around with masks on a year back, I would have thought you were crazy. But these are the times we are in and everywhere you go, you will hopefully see people wearing their masks, social distancing and being safe. There are loads of different mask designs, each with its own style. I even saw one today with a face printed on it!
Recently this company called The Led Hat Store got in touch with me and asked if they can send me some goodies. I checked out their site and saw that they sell LED fashion pieces – such as masks, caps, or Fanny Bags that all have LEDs in them. Given that I am crazy about all things tech and lights, I said sure, send me some goodies over.
Well, the package arrived and I was super excited to see what was sent to me! They must know I “love wearing my mask as inside was an LED Face mask which has a few cool tricks up its sleeve (this is a great pun), as well as an LED Fanny Bag.
Let’s start with the LED Face Mask or as they call it an Led Face Cover. The mask is made of black fabric and comes with a 5 layer carbon activated OM 2.5 Filter for protection and durability. The mask is pretty thick and well made.
And then you have the fun part. Inside the mask is a sleeve that holds an LED panel connected to a battery and a controller. The controller connects via Bluetooth to the provided APP which you install on your phone.
Getting the LED panel connected to my phone via Bluetooth was super easy. The easy to use app lets you display up to 80 characters, colours, words or drawings on the front of the mask. The mask can also display lyrics to music that you are listening to or an equalizer. You can also choose how the text moves. This is a really fun way to make masks unique!
The mask uses stretchy earpieces to keep it in place.
The Mask comes with one filter and a Micro USB cable to charge the 450mAh battery. Charging the battery only takes a few hours and you should get a few days of use!
And then we have the LED Fanny Bag, which is essentially a fanny bag with an LED panel in it. The LED panel works exactly the same as the LED panel that comes with the mask, so I won’t be repeating it 🙂
The Fanny Bag has an adjustable buckle belt that is stitched to the bag, so you don’t have random pieces of belt hanging around as you get on with your day.
The material is water-resistant and high quality, to ensure that the bag is durable and long-lasting. This also means that the LED panel won’t get wet.
The zips are really good quality and are double zippers for added protection.
The Fanny bag has a headphone port so you can leave your phone in the compartment and run your headphones through the port. The Fanny Bag comes with a Micro USB cable to charge the 450mAh battery.
Both LED panels in the mask and Fanny Bag are detachable so you can wash the fabric. Highly recommend this with the mask..
