Xperia Mashlab and Sony Mobile are excited to announce that the first 2015 Xperia Mashlab track, ‘Caviar Dreams’ is available for exclusive download from Xperia Lounge from 14H30 today, 25 June 2015.
The collaboration between rap sensation PHFAT and symphonic indie rock quartet Al Bairre will debut on the Forbes & Fix Show on 5FM, between 14h15 and 14h30 today, 25 June 2015. It was a scramble to the finish, but thanks to their can-do attitude and more than a little bit of caffeine, the artists produced something that is both awesome and fan-driven.
Following today’s launch, Sony Xperia users will have exclusive access to the track, which will be available for download from the Xperia Lounge app on all Sony Xperia handsets*. The track will feature the album artwork submission of one talented fan, based on the name of the track ‘Caviar Dreams’.
There will also be a High Definition exclusive version of the song PLUS the radio version of the song, all available in the Xperia Lounge as of Monday 29 June.
In a first for the Xperia Mashlab, the track draws inspiration from the sounds of Cape Town, in the form of a 32 foot-high pipe organ, thanks to Patricia de Lille and Cape Town City Hall.
Following a stunning studio visit for four lucky fans, the track also features fan-made backing vocals.
Xperia Mashlab is making South African music history live on 5FM every day on the Rob and Fix show between 1 and 4pm.
