Bridgestone Goes Pink For World Cancer Day

Bridgestone’s well-known Pink Valve Caps will be for sale on World Cancer Day at a special event to mark the occasion at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

The occasion, dubbed ‘Pink Day’, takes place on Saturday February 4, and will raise funds for cancer treatment and research. Among the other activities will be the Proteas cricket team, playing in pink kit against Sri Lanka in the third one-day international match.

The lightweight Bridgestone Pink valve caps are made of aluminium with a pink finish and fit any standard tyre valve. They are sold in a set of four, costing R50, with 100% of the funds raised going to cancer awareness, research and treatment.

“Bridgestone has supported cancer awareness for many years now,” said Bridgestone PR Officer, Kelly Fester. “Our last pink valve cap campaign raised over R1 million for the cause, so we are calling on everyone who will be attending the Pink ODI at Wanderers to get themselves a set of pink valve caps and show their support for cancer prevention and treatment whenever they drive,” she concluded.
