Halfway between a bracelet and a connected watch, the Huawei Band 6 seeks to appeal to athletes with good activity tracking and many supported sports. We tested it, here is our opinion.
Officially launched in March 2021, the huawe Band 6 is a connected bracelet that competed at the time with the Xiaomi Smart Band 5, which has since passed the baton to its successor, the Smart Band 6. Here, the Chinese firm mainly targets athletes and data aficionados with a heart rate sensor and many integrated activities.

A Beautiful Design: Reminiscent Of Another
The Huawei Band 6 does not revolutionize the design of connected bracelets. On the contrary, it is even inspired by what has already been designed and marketed. As such, it strongly recalls the Huawei Watch Fit it is even a copy a connected watch released in 2020. Except that here, we are indeed dealing with a bracelet, and not a smart-watch.
The format of the Huawei Band 6 is however halfway between a bracelet and a watch, especially by its size. Here, we are not dealing with a round dial, but a rectangular one where the roundings are legion. Visually, this product is simple and sober: a successful cocktail in our opinion.
On the wrist, the Huawei Band 6 is doing very well: both because its design convinces and because its weight of 18 grams makes you almost forget the presence of this device. On the other hand, during hot weather or during physical activity, the device may tend to make you sweat slightly, without it being Niagara Falls.
Dark gray, the dial goes very well with the graphite black silicone strap. The bracelet stops at the lower and upper edges of the dial not like on the Xiaomi Smart Band 6, where the bracelet is also invited on the sides. To attach the Huawei Band 6 to your wrist, eighteen levels of adjustment are available in the form of small rectangular holes. A single physical button has been installed by the Chinese manufacturer: on the right side. It is difficult to do more sober and uncluttered. On the inside, the one in contact with your skin is the heart rate sensor accompanied by the magnetic connector to plug in and charge the device.
Also note that the Huawei Band 6 benefits from a 5 ATM certification to resist water during a swimming session, your shower or your bath. And to please the greatest number, the bracelet (detachable) is available in other colors: green, orange or pink.
Without frills, the design of this connected bracelet takes up a winning formula always winning. More than a bracelet, the Huawei Band 6 can be worn like a real little fashion object that makes its effect when attached to your wrist. Safe bet, but successful for Huawei.
Amoled Love
The Huawei Band 6 benefits from a 147-inch 194 x 368-pixel touch screen: a nice diagonal for a connected bracelet, which brings real comfort of daily use to check messages or access the weather forecast, for example. In terms of dimensions, the slab enjoys a nice balance.
Regarding display technology, Huawei has opted for OLED. This is excellent news, since the contrasts here are endless and the colors very vivid. To display black, the OLED has the advantage of turning off the pixels to provide depth and save energy.
In terms of brightness, you will have no problem looking at your bracelet regardless of the situation thanks to the five levels of intensity available. It is better to use level 3, which was more than sufficient during test.
