Googling the word Premier returns “first in importance, order, or position; leading”. Walking into the Premier Hotel Cape Manor in Sea Point, Cape Town I approached the reception desk to check in. While my room details were pulled up on the system, I took a quick glance around this exquisite hotel and realized why his hotel has premier in its name.
As you enter the hotel you are greeted by a bright reception area and also a sitting area. To the right of the reception area is a fully functional restaurant that gives the perfect dining experience.
Entering the room is done by card which worked perfectly every time. I was lucky enough to be given a suite for the night which was really spacious and luxurious. The kitchen area has a counter, sink, mini fridge and ample cupboard space. The lounge area has comfy sofas which are perfect for watching a movie. The room is fitted with state of the art televisions and sound systems and I was able to easily connect to the complementary WiFi in the room.
I fell asleep really easily on the bed which means it must be a good mattress as I am normally only used to my own bed. The bathroom is on the small side but is well designed to ensure that the space is used wisely. All features in the bathroom were of superior quality.
I am really missing the view of the Promenade. Waking up and having some coffee whilst watching people being active on the promenade as well as watching the waves was such a treat.
Overall I had a great stay. The staff were friendly, checking in was a breeze and the room was well equipped, luxurious and comfortable. The hotel is opposite the Sea Point Promenade and is very close to the shops and restaurants in the area. The hotel has conference facilities that are ideal for product launches and corporate events.There is a MyCiTi bus stop right across the road so you are able to catch a ride easily and safely where-ever you need to go!
