Recently I attended the Local version of the IFA in Johannesburg hosted by Sony Mobile where I had the chance to see the latest Sony Xperia devices. Sony introduced three new models which definitely had the media’s attention. On display were the Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and the main attraction the Z5 Premium.
Sony Mobile SA always manage to host the local IFA one day after the international IFA. Which means the devices were already in South Africa before the actuall launch!! From the great venue to the amazing food (well mine at least), Sony never fails to impress.
The new range comes in a sleek new design, in a range of colours and offers a 2 day battery life. If you like bling, you may want to have a look at the Chrome and Gold Z5 Premium 🙂
The Xperia Z5’s most popular feature has to be the 23MP sensor and F2.0 G Lens with 1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile, which takes the most amazing photos! Check out how the flash helps in low light conditions below!
The Xperia Z5 Compact once again brings everything that the Z5 does but in a smaller package.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is the world’s phone with a 4K UHD display. The Z5 also allows you to upscale videos to 4k automatically!
In the line of accessories the SmartBand 2 which has a built in Heart Rate Monitor was announced. The SmartBand Talk SWR30 which was announced last year as well as the Smartwatch 3 were also on display. There was also a bluetooth headset on display!
