With disappointment levels still high as a result of the postponement of the 2020 event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to keep our fans and participants entertained the Simola Hillclimb organisers have announced the stay-at-home Startline Challenge.
The challenge is a virtual one with everyone invited to line up on the Simola startline by posting a photograph of any car they would love to enter into the real event. This can be their daily commute or their dream car.
“We know that our fans are frustrated at not being able to attend the event in May to see the country’s most spectacular cars in action, but this Startline Challenge is a bit of fun to keep them entertained and, without the usual restriction on entry numbers, allows everyone to get creative, find a car and enter,” explain the organisers.
“We normally receive about 200 entries for the event proper, so we are challenging all our fans to see if they can beat that number hands down. Invite or challenge your friends to enter – the results should create great interest and some entertaining banter amongst fans.”
Join our community by simply posting a photograph to our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/KnysnaSpeedFestival/ to enter the challenge.
