The great white shark, also known as the great white, white pointer, white shark, or white death, is a species of large mackerel shark which can be found in the coastal surface waters of all the major oceans. This large shark has been the cause of many shark attacks around the world and South African diver, Johan Potgieter, had a close encounter with the shark just off Skipskop reefs off Cape Town.

Johan was 19 meters under the water when the shark decided to come say howzit. Luckily Johan had a speargun and gave the shark a poke which sent it away!
