Last year I reviewed the Sony Xperia M2 and I concluded that if you are looking to experience the joy of owning a Sony Xperia device, but don’t have the cash to get the best, the Sony Xperia M2 is an excellent device for you. Every device can be improved in some way and for the Xperia M2 it lacked the ability to get it wet! Luckily, the Xperia M2 comes in a water proof version called the Xperia M2 Aqua.
I am not going to give the specs of the Xperia M2 Aqua as it is the same as the Xperia M2 except that it is – IP68 certified – dust and water proof up to 1.5 meter and 30 minutes and uses Scratch-resistant glass. So please have another look at the Xperia M2 review.
If you are sceptical about waterproof devices, then watch the following videos and throw your worries into the pool! The micro USB, audio and card ports must be closed before getting the device wet otherwise you will damage the device.
I have been using the Xperia M2 aqua as a daily driver for the last couple of months and its waterproof capability is something I have been having some fun with. I love that I don’t have to be cautious around water and I am able to wash the phone if it gets dirty. The Sony Xperia M2 Aqua gives you a pretty good taste of what the Xperia flagship models are capable of but at a much lower price.
