Neo Pitso is an independent artist based in Sydney, Australia. In a market saturated with rappers, Pitso is a breath of fresh air. Using the skills acquired at law school he has been able to self-manage his career, increase his fan base and also get some noteworthy endorsements.
He has shared the stage with artists such as; Nas, The Game, Rick Ross, Bone Thugs & Harmony and Cassidy. Labels continue to head hunt the South African native but he has remained independent placing creative control above all else. He remains the go-to artist for official supports in Australia. As one blogger put it ‘If there’s an artist coming from overseas and Pitso isn’t performing there it means he turned it down’.
Neo has partnered up with Adidas, Alizé and other global brands. BlackBerry also put him on their radar and flew him to Florida with other BlackBerry ambassadors; Alicia Keys and F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton.
In 2015, Pitso was awarded an iconic African Australian of the year award at the Sydney Opera House. Later that year he released a song with hit-maker AB Crazy titled ‘We On’. The song went #1 on DJ Ms Cosmo’s Hot99. The song stayed at #1 for 3 weeks in South Africa and cracked the top 10 in Australia. In early 2016 Neo released what would be the first single to his ‘The Neo Pitso EP’ titled ‘Money First’. The song earned him a Best Rap Act of 2016 award at the prestigious AMMA Awards.
In 2017, Neo Pitso continues to wow audiences with his electrifying life performances. As he sets out to make his mark in the industry he has vowed to work on more collaborative efforts with like-minded artists. With his mantra ‘Obsessed with Success’ inspiring a legion of followers, there’s no doubt that Pitso will become a force to be reckoned with in the music world.
