With the on going battle on who owns the road between motorists and cyclists, this video has emerged of cyclists going through red traffic lights in Sea Point, Cape Town. The question asked was is this allowed? Should cyclists keep to the rules of the road? Let me know your opinion in the comments below.

This poster was shared on the Pedal Power Association website and makes it clear that there are “no ifs or buts” when it comes to cyclists stopping at red robots!

As a cyclist, you need to obey all the road and traffic rules. Jumping red lights and riding on pedestrian-only pavements is illegal and can also be dangerous and frighten other road users. Don’t do it!
